JOELLA GOOD ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL RENOVATIONS
To upgrade the HVAC system, unit ventilators in 40 classrooms were replaced with eight AHUs housed in eight new mechanical rooms created by SCEC. Renovations in those 40 classrooms included new ceiling tiles, soffits and casework. Two group restrooms and the clinic restroom were renovated for ADA compliance. Four new ADA-compliant restrooms were built and tied to existing campus lines.
A new fire alarm system was installed throughout the 12-building campus. All buildings were painted. Other exterior improvements included new aluminum covered walkway and basketball court resurfacing. The 40,000 SF campus remained occupied throughout the year, including summer, as SCEC completed this CM at Risk project.
