ON TRACK: SCEC COMPLETES REPAIRS AT 16 TRI-RAIL STATIONS

SCEC has completed a project for the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority that included miscellaneous repairs, exterior improvements, and heavy maintenance at 16 Tri-Rail stations.

The eight-month project included Tri-Rail stations in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, from Hialeah Market Station north to Mangonia Park Station in West Palm Beach.

SCEC's scope of work included concrete, asphalt paving, drainage, site lighting, stucco, exterior signage, bridge maintenance, and replacement of impact glazing. Bergmann Associates served as project architect.

Since SCEC's work required crews to work in close proximity to CSX railway, SCEC project staff completed CSX Rail Worker Safety Training. The project was completed safely and with no impact to the Tri-Rail train schedule.
