SCEC COMPLETES ITS FIRST PROJECT FOR BROWARD COLLEGE

SCEC has proudly completed its first-ever project for Broward College. The project, Parking Lot Improvements at the Central Davie Campus Parking Lot A, is part of the overall Central Campus exterior upgrades. SCEC’s work included improvements to the parking area adjacent to Building 13. A new elevated brick paver walkway was created to connect the campus to building 13, and new handicapped parking spaces were constructed. A total of 215 parking spaces were improved, with associated signage and striping.

As part of the project the existing drainage system was expanded and a connection was made to an existing lake using a new culvert. Other improvements included new landscape and irrigation at Building 13, new ADA sidewalk access, and a new entrance walkway to Building 13.

The project was completed under a new Continuing Contract for Construction Management at Risk services between SCEC and the College.

Chen Moore and Associates served as the prime consultant and engineer of record on the project.
